Mr. Craig Beresford is the former Director of the Strategic Management Unit at the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat, having joined in 2014. Mr. Beresford was responsible for the technical leadership, guidance and support required to facilitate results focused strategic and operational planning, implementation and evaluation & monitoring across the Community architecture. Prior to joining the CARICOM Secretariat, Mr. Beresford was the Senior Director, Monitoring Operations, Corporate Communications and Special Projects at the Office of the Contractor General, Jamaica for eight (8) years, where he also acted as the Contractor General.
He started his professional career in 1990 as an Assistant Accountant at an advertising agency. Mr. Beresford holds a Masters degree with specialisation in Finance from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, and has also studied at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada, Singapore Staff College, Singapore, International Management Institute, India and University of Bern, Switzerland. He has served on several National and Regional Committees and is a graduate of Kingston College.
